            Tributary Systems, Inc.,
                  The presentation will be on TSI's Secure Storage and
                  Virtualization Solutions.  TSI's industry-leading ViTAL
                  (Virtual Integrated Tape and Library) solution just got
                  Smarter, the new ViTAL 2.0  now comes with business
                  intelligence.   TSI's FIPS 140-2 Level 3 encryption
                  appliances provide both secure physical tape solutions as
                  well as FIPS certified data-at-rest encryption on both
                  disk cache and back-end tape storage on ViTAL

            GoldenGate,
                  GoldenGate Software's technology offerings enable
                  companies to easily and successfully implement a variety
                  of solutions for improving the availability,
                  accessibility, and performance of critical data across
                  enterprise systems. The two primary solution areas are
                  High Availability/Disaster Tolerance and Real-Time Data
                  Integration, which deliver Real-Time Access to Real-Time
                  Information.

            XYPRO,
                  Enterprise Audit Logging for PCI Compliance.  Using
                  XYGATE Audit PRO, enterprise audit logging to include the
                  HP Nonstop is simple and complete. Whether logging from
                  the HP NonStop to an appliance like HP's CLW, RSA
                  enVision, LogLogic, ArcSight, or locally from your HP
                  NonStop network, Audit PRO will filter, capture, alert,
                  and report on security events from Safeguard, XYGATE,
                  BASE24, EMS, SQL/MX, JDBC/MX, and more.

            ETI-NET,
                  ETINET will present cost-effective approaches based on
                  new data de-duplication backup technology, replication
                  and NonStop integration technologies incorporated in
                  their virtual-tape-based products.

            NuWave,
                  SOA Modernization for NonStop Applications via Secure
                  Web Services. Service Oriented Architecture is currently
                  the mega-trend. What does this mean for your business?
                  Where do you begin? What is SOA, really? What are the
                  most common mistakes? How do you include your NSK as an
                  active participant in your SOA strategy? What are the
                  risks and how do you mitigate them?

            Gravic,
                  Shadowbase, Gravic's real-time data integration and

The next class offered by USF's "Center for Excellence for Business Critical Systems" will be held May 6th through May 9th, 2008 from 8:30am - 5:00pm at the USF main campus on Fowler Avenue in Tampa, in the Business Administration Building (BSN), Room 2406.

"Open System Services (OSS) for Guardian developers (U4159S)" is a 4-day class that will provide you with the knowledge to use UNIX commands and utilities and to develop applications in the Open System Services (OSS) environment on HP NonStop Servers. The lectures and labs will focus on OSS basics, commands, utilities, and development tools. In addition you will be introduced to OSS application programming interface (API) usage and the OSS sockets interface. This class is targeted at Guardian knowledgeable developers who want to obtain a thorough grounding in the OSS environment.

The next class offered by USF's "Center for Excellence for Business Critical Systems" will be starting in March as part of their Professional Development Events.

"Java for Business Critical Systems" will be held March 10 - March 14, 2008 from 8:15am - 5:15pm at the USF main campus on Fowler Avenue in Tampa.

"Java for Business Critical Systems" is an intense, 5-day course that will provide attendees with everything they need to know to develop and deploy Business Critical Java Web Applications and Web Services. The course will cover design principles for massively scalable, continuously available applications, utilizing Java Open Source software tools and components that can be downloaded for free from the Internet. Core concepts and the Eclipse development tools and will be covered in-depth; advanced topics will be covered at a high level. Daily labs will provide hands-on experience with the assistance of the instructor.

SunTUG with the cooperation of Connect Community and HP, has teamed up with USF to create the "Center for Excellence for Business Critical Systems" with the objective to better serve our membership's training requirements.

We are now planning the selection of the courses for 2008. Each course needs a minimum of 5 registered students before USF can commit to give the course. We have 6 courses that have been identified by the preliminary feed-back from our community and would like to get further input on which courses would be most useful to your organization.

SunTUG partnered with HP for a third free training day on Friday November 16th, 2007. It was a huge success!

HB522S -Quick NonStop NS-Series Server Ops & Mgmt for S-Series Operations Users – Intermediate

This one-day course prepared participants to operate and manage the new NonStop NS-series servers. They were introduced to an abbreviated version of the new NonStop Advanced Architecture, Server configuration, operations, and communications through OSM and given a comparison and contrast between the S-series and the NS-series servers.

A big thankyou also to Raymond James for hosting this class at their work site!

The mission of the Center for Excellence for Business Critical Systems is to provide high-quality education to students who plan to work with business information systems for large companies requiring high transaction volumes, massive scaling, continuous availability, and disaster recovery.
